Akifah Lynch
Animal care assistant
Akifah Lynch has over 7 years of experience as a Veterinary Care Assistant (ACA), this has been gained in general and emergency veterinary practices. Before starting her career in the veterinary sector, Akifah undertook a BTEC in Animal Management leading to a BSc in Zoology with Animal Behaviour at Bangor University.
During her time at her last practice Akifah completed an apprenticeship gaining Level 2 distinction certificates in Animal Health and Welfare and Veterinary Care Support. Her experience of first opinion and emergency care has allowed Akifah to have a broad skill set within her role as ACA. Her passion lays in behaviour and welfare, and ensuring patients are able to express their natural behaviour where possible and ensuring they are in a fear free environment.
Akifah joined Movement Referrals in January 2024 and is enjoying working in a high-paced environment with a dedicated, knowledgeable team, allowing her to grow on her skills within a referrals setting.
