What We Do

Movement Referrals: Independent Veterinary Specialists was established in 2023 by a group of experienced RCVS-registered Specialists. We are a veterinary-led organisation and we put our patients and clients first.

At Movement Vets, we only see referred dogs and cats that need Specialist advice, diagnostics or treatment. We can only see your pet if your own vet has requested a referral for your pet with us. The decision for referral should be taken in collaboration with your vet because they know your pet’s medical history best. However, it is your right to request to see a RCVS-registered Specialist if you so wish.

We see referred cases in these areas:

  • Orthopaedics – bone and joint problems
  • Neurosurgery – brain and spinal surgery
  • Neurology – diagnostics and medical neurology

We have extensive experience in Specialist referral work. We aim to be the referral clinic that your own vet would choose if their own dog or cat had an orthopaedic or neurology problem.

We also have modern, advanced diagnostic equipment in our clinic, including MRI scanning, CT scanning, digital X-ray, and high-definition arthroscopy.

Having fitted out our clinic in 2023, we have modern operating theatres and new surgical equipment to ensure we can deliver the best possible care for your pet.

Our support staff are also experienced and hand-picked. We know them well and we know they are dedicated and knowledgeable.

As a team, we continually audit our clinical work and we have quality improvement programmes to continually review our systems.

Efficacy of our treatments and safety for our patients is paramount, and we play significant roles within the veterinary sector in terms of clinical research, postgraduate education and innovation.
