At Movement Referrals we aim to build a reputation as THE veterinary referral centre that veterinary professionals and owners choose if their pet or their patient has a neurologic or orthopaedic problem. We aspire to lead the way, and to provide the best care.
This is MOVEMENT and this is what makes us MOVE…
Experience matters
A key philosophy is that Experience Matters. Movement is built on a team of the most experienced veterinary professionals. Outstanding individuals who we trust. We’ve cared for thousands of patients with issues ranging from the basic to the most complex orthopaedic and neurological conditions. Our team are knowledgeable, skilled, and pragmatic. Our experience helps us to guide owners to make the right decision for their pet. When owners trust us to care for their pet, they should know their pet is in safe hands at every step along the way. As we grow, we aspire to be a place where veterinary professionals can develop their own experience whilst we still provide the best care.
Equally we know that the experience of the care we provide can directly impact the outcome of our patients (as much as the outcomes can affect the experience). From the first point of contact, throughout the time a patient is at the clinic, and after discharge, we aim to ensure that the experience an owner receives is first class. We’ve invested in the latest technologies to help us do this.
For our referring vets, their experience when they refer a case should be seamless. We aim to accept cases as quickly as possible and report back promptly after treatment. We want you to be able to trust us to look after their patient and their owners.
Innovation
At Movement we believe in innovation, but not for innovation’s sake. We believe in innovation when it leads to improvement. With clinical innovation we will be responsible, and evidence based, always ensuring what we do is ethically sound and in the best interest of our patients. In non-clinical areas we want drive change, and not just do things the way they have always been done in the ‘vet world’. We will encourage our colleagues to try new things and embrace new ways of working. Not everything we try will work; we know that. We will audit what we do, we will keep the things that work and change the things that don’t.
Our patients at the heart of what we do
Our patients are at the heart of what we do. We will strive to recommend the best treatment options for every patient. Our knowledgeable and skilled teams deliver this care in a compassionate way. We want to be transparent about our outcomes and complication rates whilst charging fairly for the care we provide. Value-based care is exactly this; delivering the best outcomes with the resources available. We will audit our outcomes and lead the way in using this data to drive improvement. We aim to lead the way in assessing the outcomes of our patients. We are committed to Quality Improvement and will promote the highest clinical standards.
Team Movement
At the same time as providing the best we want Movement should be a fun place to work. A happy team means we can work effectively together. Caring for our colleagues is as important is caring for our patients. We try not to take ourselves too seriously. We will promote a just culture that is open and fair. We want to celebrate each other’s success and support the growth and development of individuals here and our team.
Excellence in Everything We Do
We strive to be the best. The nature of our work means we do a lot of similar procedures, there is immense satisfaction in getting things right, first time, every time. This isn’t easy. There are many little steps that come together to make this possible and everyone here plays a part in making sure everything is in place for each of your pets and your patients.
